“Don’t you think it’s kind of weird that he’s almost four and she’s still letting him breastfeed?” one woman proclaims to her friend across the wooden coffee shop table. She submerges her spoon into her cup and proceeds to clank it around the glass edges.
“Seriously. I think it’s gross. He can ask his mom to pull out her breast for a snack”, the friend responds with repugnance. He leans in but his voice carries to the tables surrounding them.
“And she let’s her other son play on that iPad all day. Certainly there are more stimulating things for him to be doing”, the woman swiftly redirects her criticisms. “She can let that thing raise her children but not me!” her head nodding in disapproval.
